How wonderful it is to live in the great state of Tennessee – also known as the Volunteer State. I know that you have heard this, just like I have - many, many times over the past couple of months. Obviously it is true because we have seen the pictures, read the articles and in some cases even been out there lending a helping hand aiding those devastated by the Nashville area flooding. Those who experienced the devastation can testify how much the assistance has meant.
The generosity and outpouring of volunteers was once again in evidence June 11 at the 14th Annual Greater Nashville IREM Chapter #71 Charitable Golf Tournament for the benefit of the Nashville Rescue Mission. It was an overwhelming success and extraordinary event.
As you all know, the Institute of Real Estate Management® (IREM®) is a professional organization whose members have taken the time to earn various distinguished certifications, such as ACM® (Accredited Community Manager®), ARM® (Accredited Residential Manager®) or the CPM® (Certified Property Manager®) designation. As a member of IREM, participation in the local chapter and on a national level can take on a life of its own. We depend on the members to volunteer their time and energy to serve as a chapter officer and/or a committee chairperson and committee member to make our chapter what it is today. The IREM Chapter also depends on our faithful Industry Partners. Without their support, it would be difficult to accomplish the annual goals and continue to be a multi-year 5-Star Chapter. The 5-Star Chapter is the “highest” rating a chapter can receive, as judged by IREM National. The Greater Nashville IREM Chapter #71 has met or exceeded our chapter goals as well as participated in projects set out by the National Executive Committee of IREM for the past several years because of the dedication of our members and the support of our Industry Partners.
The volunteers and sponsors for the 14th Annual Greater Nashville IREM Chapter #71 Charitable Golf Tournament are a prime example of this dedication as shown by the extraordinary giving of their money and their time to make the tournament a success. The word extra makes ordinary extraordinary. There was absolutely nothing about this year’s golf tournament that made it ordinary. Going that extra mile and giving that extra effort made this event extraordinary. As a result of all the hard work and extraordinary participation in the tournament, The Greater Nashville IREM Chapter #71 presented the Nashville Rescue Mission a check for $10,000 from the proceeds of this outing!
The golf committee, all the sponsors, players, participants and volunteers deserve a well earned THANK YOU. Without your help and participation, it would not have been possible. So, again, THANK YOU!
